Soccorso’s square and church
In the town of Forio is the famous sanctuary of Madonna del Soccorso, painted all white with its byzantine architecture, on the cliff overhanging the sea front. When the weather is clear, you can admire the isle of Ventotene from its belvedere. This mesmerizing square also offers you a panoramic view on Punta Imperatore on one side, and on Punta Caruso on the other side. The church hosts an ancient crucifix, found after a storm in the 15th century.
